Every year, Exothermic Robotics hosts the Exothermic Winter Challenge. On February 21, EXO teams, parents, members of other local teams, and the Regional Support Manager gathered together at Timberline Middle School to set up the tournament. They transported equipment from Cavelero Mid High School, Blaze Education Center, and the Exothermic Robot House to prepare for the competition.
Four Exo members from 10C, 10D, and 10X volunteered at a local Vex IQ tournament on Feb. 9. They took on various roles such as being a referee or judge. After the event, Exo received an invitation from Timberline Middle School to present our robots at their end of the year celebration to showcase our robots and teach incoming Freshmen about Vex EDR.
One of our members, Ann Li from 10C currently volunteers every Friday for the robotics club at a local school. Her goal is to help middle school students enjoy STEM and robotics by helping them with Vex IQ and encouraging them to participate in community events and competitions.
