Local Robotics Teams Shine At World Championship

Team 575 (Haiku) won 2nd place out of 395 robots, won the Science Division championship as well as the Build Award at the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas. The team has been working together for 4 years, and consists of Redmond High School students David Tyler, Matt Toivonen, Micah Zeitz, Paul Cretu, and Stefan Mellem.

2010 VEX Robotics World Championship Results

The tournament champions of the VEX Robotics World Championship was an alliance consisted of two New Zealand Teams and one Chinese Team. The finalists were an all-American alliance, comprised of 21C, 44 Green Egg Robotics, and 575 Exothermic Robotics from Redmond, Washington.

Exothermic Heats Up B.C. Championships

Exothermic Robotics sent teams to the B.C. Championship, and five of them were among the top six teams in the "A" Division. In the end, Teams 10B, 10N, and 10C defeated the other Exothermic alliance comprised of Teams 10X, 10D, and Gladstone Secondary's Team 2M to win the top award.
